53 PASS PERM SEC EXAM, ADVANCE TO NEXT STAGE

The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has proclaimed that 53 individuals have progressed to the subsequent phase in the ongoing selection procedure for the designation of Permanent Secretaries.
As per the OHCSF, 73 individuals were authorized for the initial written examination; however, three were not present. From the 70 individuals who participated, 53 successfully passed, illustrating what the office characterized as “the depth of talent within the Service” and the Federal Government’s dedication to merit-based appointments.
The forthcoming phase of the procedure is an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) proficiency assessment, scheduled for Wednesday, 17th September 2025. The evaluation is anticipated to gauge candidates’ digital aptitude, which the government regards as essential for contemporary public service leadership.
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, reaffirmed the integrity and competitiveness of the selection process, emphasizing that it aligns with the Federal Government’s reform agenda for a professional, accountable, and future-oriented public service.
“The advancement of 53 candidates to the next stage of this rigorous process reflects our deliberate efforts to uphold excellence in public service leadership. We are committed to ensuring that only individuals of proven competence, integrity, and vision emerge to lead the Federal Civil Service at the highest levels,” she stated.
The OHCSF assured Nigerians that the entire operation is being carried out with transparency, fairness, and integrity, in accordance with the government’s broader governance and reform objectives.
