SUPER FALCONS CAPTAIN RASHEEDAT AJIBADE VOICES DISAPPOINTMENT AS 2026 WOMEN’S AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS GETS POSTPONED
Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has expressed her disappointment following the postponement of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The biennial tournament, originally slated to begin on March 17, has been rescheduled to July by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
CAF explained that the delay was caused by “some unforeseen circumstances.”
Ajibade turned to social media to share her frustration.
“African women’s football deserves better,” she wrote on X, accompanied by a disappointed emoji.
The Super Falcons had played two friendly matches against Cameroon last week.
