TWO INJURED AS TRUCKS COLLIDE ON LAGOS–IBADAN EXPRESSWAY

Two people sustained varying degrees of injuries in a collision involving two trucks at the Arepo Bridge section of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the early hours of Sunday.

The crash occurred around 4 a.m. and involved an empty American Cola truck and a Seaco truck.

The accident has caused a traffic gridlock along the busy highway, as officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps work to tow the affected trucks off the road.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said one of the drivers was rushed to a hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

A witness, Mrs. Ibukun Victoria, told The Media that the other driver sustained only minor injuries.

Another driver who witnessed the incident attributed the crash to waste materials left on the highway.
