The minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, stated that the court of appeal complex under construction in Abuja will be completed by May 2026.

Wike made the announcement on Thursday following an inspection of the court of appeal complex and judgesquarters during a tour of ongoing projects in the FCT.

The minister said contractors handling the court of appeal complex assured the administration that the project would be delivered by May.

He said the judgesliving areas, including the part for the federal high court, are already set up and ready to use.

Wike mentioned that the housing project includes 10 duplex homes for the federal high court, 20 duplex homes for the FCT high court, and 10 more duplex homes for the court of appeal.

The minister stated that the facilities will be officially opened during the third year of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Wike also inspected a major road project in Katampe, which he described as “functioning like a ring road”.

Speaking on his frequent inspection of projects across the territory, the minister said his commitment was driven by the confidence reposed in him by the president.

“For the President to have confidence in you and give you an assignment, you have no choice but to be committed to the job,” Wike said.
