The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified the status of candidates whose UTME 2026 results are currently displaying “No Result Yet,” following concerns raised by parents and candidates.

The Board explained that results for underage candidates have not yet been released, adding that the “No Result Yet” message appears when such candidates attempt to access their results.

It reiterated that only candidates who will be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are eligible to register and sit for the UTME, in line with existing regulations.

However, JAMB noted that underage candidates may be considered under an exceptional category if they demonstrate outstanding academic ability. This includes scoring 320 and above in the UTME and achieving at least 80 per cent in subsequent screening exercises.

According to the Board, only underage candidates who meet the required benchmark will be shortlisted for further stages of assessment, in line with agreements reached with their parents.

JAMB added that successful candidates at the screening stage may still be considered for admission under the exceptional candidates framework, while maintaining that results for underage candidates remain pending for now.
