APC Convention Affects Traffic And Other Activities in Abuja

The National Convention of the All Progressive Congress which is slated for Saturday June 23 in Abuja as presently, has affected traffic and other activities in the capital city. The convention which will be taking place at the Eagle Square is expected to host about 6800 delegates from the 36 states of the federation. Presently most hotels in the Central Area are fully booked since Thursday by delegates coming into Abuja.
High brow hotels in Asokoro, Maitama, Garki, Wuse and Gwarimpa are hot cakes for politicians while most of the hotels are also catching in on the event.. There is high presence of security around the city already. More than 3,000 policemen, Civil Defence, Road Satey officials are on ground to ensure security and free flow of traffic around the city. The tenure of John Oyegun and his executive expires on June 25, 2018 and a new executive is expected to take over.
