An All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain, Aliyu Farouk has stated categorically that the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari should decide to keep nun in regards to the events in the party or go elsewhere.

Reacting to Aisha’s comment on the party’s primaries and the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole, who she accused of allowing impunity in the process of the primaries, Aliyu Farouk said, although the wife of the president is a Nigerian and a member of the APC, she is entitled to her opinion. He added that her opinion does not change anything.

He said, “Well, Aisha Buhari is a Nigerian and she is entitled to her own opinion and opinion of Aisha Buhari is her own opinion. So she has the right to say whatever she wants to say but, that does not change the fact that, APC is a party, she is a member of the party. If she is not satisfied with what is goin on in APC, she can also say, I am not going to vote for APC, that is ok.”

He further explained that leaders of the party would not dictate to Aisha who is obviously in disagreement with the activities of the party. He said if she decide to speak the way she did, that is “her business”.

The former Minority leader of the House of Representative however concluded that, if Aisha Buhari feels she is not satisfied with what is going on in the party, she should “either stand aloof or go elsewhere.”

Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, on Sunday, had faulted the manner in which some of the primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress were conducted. She particularly took a swipe at the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, who she accused of allowing impunity under his watch.

“It is important for the populace to rise against impunity and for voters to demand from aspirants to be committed to the provision of basic amenities such as potable water, basic health care (Primary Health Care centres)

“Given this development, one will not hesitate than dissociate from such unfairness, be neutral and speak for the voiceless.

“Education within conducive and appropriate learning environments. Let us vote wisely! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria”, she had said.
