The African Democratic Congress in Gombe State has called on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Joash Amupitan, to step down from office.
Party supporters made the demand during a peaceful demonstration at the INEC office in Gombe, where protesters carried placards bearing the message: “Amupitan: Resign before the street removes you.”
The protesters accused the INEC chairman of maintaining links with the ruling All Progressives Congress following the recent discovery of an alleged X account reportedly connected to him.
