KANO GOVERNOR, GANADUJE MAY FACE HEAVY SANCTIONS AS STATE ASSEMBLY LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, who allegedly received a $5 million bribe could face serious sanctions as the Kano House of Assembly has decided to investigate and find out the truth about the allegations.
Kano State House of Assembly which had on Monday, opened probe into bribe-taking video clips involving the Governor has decided on a public hearing. Chairman of the committee, Baffa Dan’Agundi, representing Kano Municipal, who made this known on Thursday, during the committee’s visit to the Kano state Police Commissioner, Rabi’u Yusuf, said the visit was to obtain security details for lawmakers and witnesses during the hearing.
Dan ‘Agundi said, “We have decided to make our investigation open so that the general public will be convinced about the findings of the committee. “We don’t want a situation where by a member of the committee or witness will be humiliated or intimidated.”Members of the probe committee constitutes of the speaker, Alhassan Rurum, Labaran Madari (Warawa) member; Garba Gafasa (Ajingi), member; Zubairu Masu, (Sumaila) member; Ayuba Labaran (Kabo) member. Other members of the committee iclude Abubakar Galadima (Bebeji), member; Garba Yau Gwarmai (Kunchi/Tsanyawa), member and; Mujtafa Amin, secretary
