Martins: Super Eagles Must React Vs Cameroon After Bafana Shock
Nigeria and Shanghai Shenhua striker Obafemi Martins is optimistic the Super Eagles will bounce back from Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at home to South Africa, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The three-time African champions slumped to their first home defeat in two years in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo, and Martins says the inexperienced and young Eagles will learn from their mistakes.
“There were so many errors made during the cause of the game but give I to them they did their best,”
“Its a test of their mental strength going forward so let’s see how they react in their next game against Cameroon.
“It was obvious they ran out of ideas as the game continued and that was because of experience.”
The Super Eagles will face African champions Cameroon in two World Cup qualifiers within four days in August.
