Formula One icon Lewis Hamilton has thrown his support behind Arsenal ahead of their 2026 UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, sharing a heartfelt video message that highlighted his lifelong connection to the North London club.
In the 67-second clip posted on Ferrari’s official social media channels on Friday, Hamilton addressed the Arsenal squad directly, expressing pride in the team’s achievements and encouraging them ahead of the decisive clash.
“Hey guys, it’s Lewis here. This is to the team, Arsenal — my team. I’m so proud of you guys,” he said.

“As a fan since I was five years old, this is my favourite moment. Keep pushing, keep believing in yourselves. I’ll be right there with you, watching the final. Go out there and enjoy it. You’re already the G.O.A.T.s.”
The message quickly gained traction among Arsenal supporters, many of whom praised the seven-time Formula One world champion for the gesture. Fans flooded social media with reactions, describing the message as a touching show of support and celebrating Hamilton’s longstanding allegiance to the club.
Hamilton’s bond with Arsenal dates back to his childhood in Stevenage, where he began supporting the Gunners at the age of five after being influenced by his sister. Over the years, he has frequently spoken about the important role the club has played in his life.
Following Arsenal’s recent Premier League title success, Hamilton reflected on the achievement with pride.
“We’ve had so many close moments and to finally get it was wow,” he said.
“A lot of emotion came up for me, as I’m sure it did for so many supporters. Everyone is just so happy and proud of the team.
“Obviously Arsène Wenger was great. The direction the club has taken over the last few years has been fantastic. I’m really proud of the team and believe they can continue to grow from strength to strength.”
Hamilton was 19 years old when Arsenal last lifted the Premier League trophy in 2004 under Arsène Wenger, during the club’s famous unbeaten campaign. At the time, he was still racing in Formula 3 and had yet to make his Formula One debut.
Arsenal’s Champions League history also includes the painful memory of the 2006 final in Paris against FC Barcelona. Despite taking the lead through Sol Campbell after goalkeeper Jens Lehmann was sent off, the Gunners suffered a 2-1 defeat following late goals from Samuel Eto’o and Juliano Belletti.
Now, Arsenal have another opportunity to make history as they take on Paris Saint-Germain in Saturday’s final, aiming to secure the club’s first-ever UEFA Champions League title.
