Ideye weighs up loan move to Turkey in bid to revive career

Nigerian striker Brown Ideye is reportedly weighing up a loan move to Turkey as he remains sidelined at Chinese Super League club Tianjin Teda.
Ideye joined Tianjin from Greek side Olympiakos in February 2017 but has struggled to win playing time in the CSL.
He has made just 14 appearances (with four goals and one assist) in the Chinese top flight since his transfer 18 months ago.
In January this year he was loaned out to Spanish side Malaga as Tianjin made space in their roster for Ghanaian striker Frank Acheampong.
The Nigerian is likely to be loaned out again, unless a club comes in with a big enough offer to sign Ideye permanently.
Tianjin would look to recoup most of the £12m they spent to buy him from Olympiakos in 2017.
In lieu of such of an offer, the CSL club will probably loan him out once again and reports claim that he will be heading to the Turkish Super Lig.
Nigeria’s Football Live quote a “credible source” as saying: “Ideye will most probably be sent out on loan by his Chinese club, and it is looking very much like he will be going to Turkey.”
The 29-year-old has also played for the likes of Neuchatel Xamax, Sochaux, Dynamo Kyiv and West Bromwich Albion in his senior club career.
