The last may not have been heard on the fallout between the Lagos state governor, Akinwumi Ambode and members of the  State All Progressives Congress, APC, as a telephone conversation has provided a deeper revelation on how the governor, in a twist of tide, lost his second term ambition despite his achievement and popularity.
The phone conversation which was between a staff of the Lagos Internal Revenue Service, LIRS, known as “Yetty” and a former staff of Solid Homes Limited, Lagos, Mr Toyin, provided new insight to the reason Ambode was dropped as the anointed candidate of the National leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and replaced by Babajide Sanwo-Olu who eventually won the governorship primary and became the new bride in the state, flooring the incumbent with a whopping margin.
The LIRS staff who was highlighting ‘Ambode’s sins’ said that he had offended most of the party faithful and civil servants in the state.
The investigation further revealed that her claims and revelations were based on selfishness and greed from the part of the party chieftains and fraudulent civil servants who are enemies within.
In the conversation here attached, Yetty, as she is popularly called, had a 22 minutes phone call with the pained Mr. Toyin, revealing some internal secrets and how Gov Akinwunmi Ambode blocked all their fraudulent loopholes of stealing from the government treasury.

Below is part of the transcript of the phone conversation which was translated from Yoruba:

Mr T: What are you guys doing over Ambode’s case…?
Yetty: Aaaah! Ambode is gone.
Mr T: What offense did he commit?
Yetty: He has offended several heads, dry and cold (people).
Mr T: …and you people could not accept his plea.
Yetty: Let me explain to you. Number one…
Mr T: Yes…
Yetty: You are aware that a “Master Plan” has been installed in Lagos.
Mr T: Yes?
Yetty: …that’s number one and they have a procedure to follow.
Mr T: Yes?
Yetty: Fashola…erm…Tinubu started it.
Mr T: yes…
Yetty: Tinubu dropped it for others to continue along the plan…
Mr T: Yes…
Yetty: When Ambode got there, he changed all the plans.
Mr T: What exactly did he shift? Didn’t he build roads?
Yetty: Listen…we are not saying he should not build roads…If you have to execute projects, must you execute all the projects at the same time?
Mr T: Hmm hmm?
Yetty: Even if you are going to do that, do it one after the other…he built roads and now they are damaged, nobody can move, we are always facing traffic…
Mr T: Hmmmm…!
Yetty: Just because you wanted to show people that you are the one doing it all…
Mr T: Ok?
Yetty: Fine, that issue became a bygone… He also discovered that some people are making living from particular offices and for no particular reasons, he denied them…For me, I don’t support that someone should not make extra cash from where he/she works…
Mr T: Like Ashafa…
Yetty: Yes… Make money, and allow others to make theirs…
Mr T: I agree with you…
Yetty: …most of the elderly party members, “Highway Managers”…most of them took loans and he disposed of them… He invited a private company to organize an exam for us(LIRS), and anyone who scored below 40% was going to be sacked…
Mr T: Ennh…en!
Yetty: Some workers who are paid just 18,000 naira, who makes extra cash from other means, he denied them…one of my friend who is in level 12, whose salary is not up to 80,000 naira, the little money they make from other sources he denied them…and only him was eating the money…when any party member calls him or texts him, he does not respond. He acts as lord and master…
Mr T: Ok…
Yetty: … everything in life is about 100%. When you amass 50% or 60% to yourself, you should try and give others and allow them to also enjoy, so that nobody will disturb you…
Mr T: Yeees… Just like TSA did at that time…
Yetty: Thank you…
Mr T: …we knew he was taking the lion share but at least he was giving some to the boys.
Yetty: …at least when you are eating and a child around you keeps begging you for some, you give the child very little, so he stops complaining…
Mr T: You are right…the child will withdraw his/her attention from you… you are right…
Yetty: …you understand, but only him(Ambode) wanted to eat everything. Where is that done? That was where he offended the people…Where I work at LIRS, a majority of them are politicians, he didn’t give them any work since January. Even those who are working, he didn’t pay them since January and you don’t want people to be angry at you…
Mr T: Hmmm..!
Yetty: …after doing all that, he was now raising shoulders…you(Ambode) were never known before Tinubu brought you to power and you were disrespecting him…
Mr T: Aaaah!
Yetty: can you now see that he has really offended the people…

The lady who further revealed that “Jagaban”, was forced by party members in the state to drop Ambode for Sanwo-Olu, said, he destroyed former governor Babatunde Fashola’s policies like, the housing policy, restriction of motorcycles from the highway, flower plantation, and so on.
She also identified the sack of the former chaplain of Lagos, Venerable Femi Taiwo by the governor, due to a disagreement between his wife, Mrs Bolanle Ambode and the clergy, as one of the “original sins” of Akinwumi Ambode.
Ambode lost the APC governorship primary election to Babajide Sanwo-Olu who won the incumbent with a massive margin of votes, and that made Sanwoolu the party’s candidate ahead of the 2019 election.
