
CRIME: ILORIN COURT CONVICTS ADO-EKITI BASED YAHOO BOY BORDERING ON INTERNET FRAUD
On Monday, May 23, 2022, Justice Muhammed Sani of the Federal High Court in Ilorin convicted a specific fraudster, Ajewole Oluseyi David, of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, for offences bordering on internet fraud.
The judge also ordered the confiscation of a duplex valued at over N60 million in Lekki, Lagos State’s Eti-Osa Local Government Area, and one RS 350 Lexus automobile worth over N6 million, which the convict purchased with proceeds from his criminal operations.
The EFCC’s Ilorin Zonal Command prosecuted Ajewole and seven other fraudsters for committing identical crimes.
