Abdul-Azeez Adediran, also known as Jandor, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) nominee for governor of Lagos State in 2023, has left the party.

Speaking to his fans during a news conference on Monday at Liberty Place, Ikeja, in Lagos, Jandor made the announcement.

In defending his choice, Jandor said that anti-party acts had grown commonplace in the PDP and accused the party of lacking discipline.

He added that several PDP leaders, including as Chief Olabode George, the former Deputy National Chairman, had acted against the party in the 2023 elections, which influenced his choice.

“We will consult widely with everybody and then take the decision to collapse our structure to another platform. What is majority on the ground now is that we have left the Peoples Democratic Party,” Jandor stated.
