OYO POLICE RESCUE TWO ABDUCTED SALESGIRLS IN ILLERO AFTER SWIFT OPERATION

The Oyo State Police Command has successfully rescued two salesgirls who were abducted from an Agro Vet shop in the Oke-Are area of Ilero, located in Kajola Local Government Area of the state.
The rescue was confirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, in Ibadan.
According to Osifeso, the victims were rescued unhurt on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, following a swift and coordinated operation involving the Command’s intelligence and tactical teams, in collaboration with local hunters and vigilante groups.
“The Police is pleased to announce the successful rescue of two salesgirls who were abducted late in the evening of Wednesday from an Agro Vet shop located at Oke-Are Ilero, Oyo State,” the statement read.
He noted that the rescued girls have undergone thorough medical examinations and have since been reunited with their families.
Osifeso further assured that efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the perpetrators of the abduction, vowing that justice will be served.
