Nigerian disc jockey, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, popularly known as DJ Switch, has issued a sharp response to APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe, following his criticism of her remarks about the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

As previously reported by the Media, Buhari died in London on Sunday, July 13, 2025, after a prolonged illness.

Reacting to the news, DJ Switch had taken to her Instagram to post:

“Wow! The sweet reality of inevitability. RIP MF. One down.”

In a Facebook post, Igbokwe condemned her statement, accusing her of contributing to national harm through her past comments. He wrote:

“So the ugly and nauseating lady is still talking. She has not realized the damage she did to Nigeria with her utterance. This lady needs help. She must have gone kolos.”

Firing back, DJ Switch called out Igbokwe, accusing him of lacking empathy and being disconnected from the suffering of everyday Nigerians.

She condemned the APC chieftain for defending a government she believes inflicted harm on Nigerian youth. The disc jockey went on to accuse him of cowardice, stating that while she and others stood up to injustice, he chose to remain silent and later attacked survivors like herself.

DJ Switch wrote:

“The only thing more embarrassing than your spelling is believing that staying silent in the face of murder, suffering, and injustice is a sign of dignity. We faced bullets in the fight for justice what have you ever faced, aside from spell check and old age?

“You watched a government kill its own youth, and your only anger is that I survived to tell the truth? You think I damaged Nigeria with my words? No, grandpa your silence did. Your cowardice did.

“You defend those responsible for killing, yet you attack those who survived. Don’t worry history is already recording your name in the margins, under ‘failure.’ Imagine being so irrelevant to justice that a woman speaking out about surviving Nigeria feels like a threat to your entire existence.”
