FIRST LADY DONATES N1BN, RELIEF ITEMS TO FLOOD, BANDITRY VICTIMS IN NIGER STATE

Presenting the donation on behalf of the Renewed Hope Initiative’s Governing Council at the Government House, Minna, Mrs. Tinubu stated that the funds would be used to provide housing support and essential supplies for displaced families in the state.

She also announced the donation of additional relief items, including 2,000 bags of rice (50kg each), clothing, and footwear.

The First Lady extended her condolences to the government and people of Niger State over the recent disasters, particularly the flood in Mokwa that claimed several lives and displaced numerous families. She offered prayers for God’s comfort and strength for the affected families.

She also applauded President Bola Tinubu’s swift approval of funds and food items to support the recovery efforts and reconstruction of houses destroyed by the flood and commended Governor Muhammad Umaru Bago for his prompt response to the disaster.

Responding, Bago thanked Mrs Tinubu for the donation.

“We appreciate the First Lady’s kindness to the victims of disasters in the state. Niger State has experienced various challenges, including floods, boat mishaps, fire disasters, banditry and insurgency,” Bago said.
