The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced on Wednesday that the Lagos Rail Mass Transit Blue Line has successfully transported over five million passengers within the two years following its inauguration.

In a statement shared on his official X account, Sanwo-Olu noted that the rail service has operated without a single incident since its inception.

“Over the past two years, the Blue Line has safely conveyed more than five million passengers, without a single occurrence of an accident.

“Trains now operate every 10 minutes, completing more than 90 journeys daily. Trips that previously took significantly longer have now become swifter and more convenient.

“These accomplishments demonstrate that with commitment and intent, we can establish systems that genuinely benefit the community.
“I extend my gratitude for the confidence and support you have provided. This initiative belongs to all of us, and it is your faith in a better Lagos that enables progress,” he stated.
