ADEKUNLE GOLD UNVEILS STREET NAMED AFTER HIM IN LAGOS

Nigerian music sensation Adekunle Gold has been bestowed with a significant honor as a street in Lagos now bears his name. READ ALSO:

The 38-year-old artist took to Instagram to share the touching moment with fans, posting a video from the unveiling ceremony.
In the footage, Adekunle Gold is seen with his wife, Simi, and their daughter, Deja, as the family unveiled the new street sign labeled “Adekunle Kosoko Street.”
Grateful for the recognition, the Sade hitmaker expressed his appreciation in a heartfelt caption.
“Adekunle Kosoko Street. The city that raised me now bears my name. I’m grateful to God for the countless blessings in my life.”
This honour holds special significance for Adekunle Gold, as he descends from the historic Kosoko royal family of Lagos Island.
His ancestry links directly to Oba Kosoko, the former king of Lagos who ruled between 1845 and 1851.
