ISRAEL ELIMINATES IRAN’S MILITARY OFFICE CHIEF ABU AL‑QASSEM BABA’IYAN

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it has killed Abu al-Qassem Baba’iyan, the newly appointed head of the Military Office of Iran’s Supreme Leader and Chief of Staff of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.
In a statement posted on X on Sunday, the IDF said Baba’iyan was responsible for coordinating operations across multiple branches of Iran’s military.
The Israeli military described him as a key figure in managing operational and emergency activities throughout Iran’s armed forces.

The IDF added that the strike on Baba’iyan is part of an ongoing campaign targeting senior Iranian officials, dating back to the launch of “Operation Roaring Lion” and earlier military operations.
In its statement, the IDF wrote:
“ELIMINATED: Abu al-Qassem Baba’iyan, the new Head of the Military Office of the Supreme Leader and Chief of Staff of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.
Baba’iyan coordinated between various Iranian military and paramilitary forces to carry out operations and emergency activities.
His elimination follows a series of targeted operations against senior figures in the Iranian military leadership conducted by the IDF since the start of Operation Roaring Lion and previous missions.”
