Controversial singer Portable has fired fresh shots at comedian and content creator Carter Efe ahead of their celebrity boxing bout scheduled for May 1 at the Federal Palace Hotel.

In a video circulating online, Portable mocked Carter Efe’s training arrangement, taking a swipe at singer Small Doctor, who is reportedly helping the skit maker prepare for the fight.

Speaking in Pidgin, Portable claimed he had previously beaten Small Doctor during a physical confrontation at the residence of businessman Abu Abel, insisting that no amount of training would save Carter Efe in the ring.

“Carter Efe, I see Small Doctor dey train you. The same Small Doctor I beat, wey I almost use blow commot him brain for Abu Abel’s house. Na because I beat him, na him make him go dey learn boxing,” he said.

He further dismissed Small Doctor as an unqualified trainer and warned Carter Efe to find someone more capable.

“Small Doctor is a failure. Carter Efe, na failure dey train you. If you like gym, I will still crush you. Go look for better coach. I swear to God who made me, I go finish you,” Portable added.

Portable’s confidence partly stems from his previous outings in celebrity boxing, where he recorded exhibition victories against actors and entertainers including Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington.

The upcoming clash with Carter Efe has been sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control and is expected to draw significant attention due to the rivalry between the two entertainers, who collectively boast more than 10 million social media followers.

The bout will headline the “Chaos in the Ring” fight night promoted by Balmoral Group Promotions in partnership with AK Promotions, owned by former world heavyweight champion Amir Khan.

The event will also feature a professional boxing undercard, including a cruiserweight Nigerian derby between Ezra Arenyeka (15-2, 12 KOs) and Godday Appah (14-2, 13 KOs).

The fight night is expected to be broadcast live worldwide on DAZN, marking a significant moment for the growth of influencer boxing in Africa.
