Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has revealed she experienced six miscarriages, with the latest happening in February 2025.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, the singer opened up about the intense physical pain and emotional trauma she endured after the loss, which occurred after she had passed the three-month stage of pregnancy.
Sharing her story, she explained how what began as slight discomfort quickly escalated into a devastating experience.
“In February 2025, I went through a pain that nearly broke me. I had been pregnant for over three months. One day, while going about my routine, I began to feel cramps,” she said.
“I thought it was nothing unusual at first. Then I noticed slight bleeding and assumed it was just spotting something women who have been pregnant before would understand.”
And then I had the urge to use the washroom. And what I thought should be urine was blood. It did not stop. It kept flowing. And I was devastated because I understood what that meant automatically.

“This baby that I lost, that has gone past three months, mark the sixth one.”
She disclosed that she was taken to the hospital, where doctors carried out a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure following what was diagnosed as a missed miscarriage.
Reflecting on the aftermath, Judikay said she initially tried to stay strong but later struggled with deep grief, especially at night.
“I was rushed to the hospital, and they did a D&C on me because it was a missed miscarriage,” she added.
“And when I returned home, I thought I was okay. I had cried and shouted whilst they broke the baby and brought the pieces.
“Whenever people asked, I would simply say, ‘God gets the glory.’ But in the quiet of the night, I felt a pain I couldn’t put into words. I would cry out, wailing, ‘Jesus, where are you?’”
Known for hit worship songs like “More Than Gold” and “Songs of Angels (Ndimozi Binigwe),” Judikay got married to Anselem Opara in 2020, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2022.
