The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammad Usman Ankwai, died last night.
Ankwai, who represented the Zuru Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), became Speaker following the inauguration of the 10th Assembly on June 8, 2023.
As of the time of this report, the circumstances surrounding his death had not been disclosed.
His passing has sparked widespread condolences from fellow lawmakers, political allies, and residents across Kebbi State, many of whom have hailed him as a committed public servant who played a key role in advancing legislative work in the state.
