Young entrepreneurs and leaders of Small and Medium Enterprises in Kwara State, under the platform of Corporate Kwara, have pledged N100 million to purchase the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination form for Senator Saliu Mustapha ahead of the 2027 elections.
Mustapha, who represents Kwara Central in the Senate and chairs the Committee on Agricultural Production Services and Rural Development, is widely regarded as a strong contender for the governorship.
The pledge was announced during a visit by the group to the senator’s office in Ilorin on Sunday. Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the forum’s coordinator and CEO of BettaJoll Nigeria Limited, Abdulmajeed Idilobe, said the move was inspired by Mustapha’s longstanding support for entrepreneurs.
He noted that even before joining the Senate, Mustapha had consistently backed the business community through the Kwara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture, adding that his contributions—both financial and moral—have continued to benefit SMEs and business incubators.

Idilobe described the N100 million pledge as a voluntary gesture, emphasizing that the senator stands out among aspirants due to his track record in supporting enterprise development.
Responding on behalf of Mustapha, his Executive Assistant, Alabi Abdulkareem, expressed appreciation for the support, saying it would further motivate the senator to strengthen his commitment to the business community.
He described Mustapha as an experienced entrepreneur whose background continues to influence his pro-business leadership style and assured the group of his continued support for entrepreneurs, whether in or out of office.
Abdulkareem also encouraged the business community to support President Bola Tinubu, noting that current government policies are fostering a more conducive environment for businesses nationwide.
