DANGOTE REFINERY REGISTERS THREE OIL MARKETERS ASSOCIATIONS
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has confirmed the registration of oil marketers as its distributors.
Dangote Group said on Tuesday that it had registered three associations of marketers in the Nigerian oil sector.
In a statement on its X on Tuesday, the Dangote Group listed the marketers to include members of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria and Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria.
“Three prominent associations, that constitute 75 per cent of the total market in Nigeria have been registered.
“The Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, and the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria,” the post read.
Dangote Group said it was still “considering other marketers that have signified interest” to be partner with the refinery.
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery commenced the production of diesel and aviation fuel on January 12, 2023.
It was also reported that MOMAN and IPMAN had registered to be marketers of products from the private refinery across the nation.
However, the Dangote Group has yet to disclose when the products would be available in the market, and neither has it disclosed when it would commence the production of Premium Motor Spirit.
