POLICE APPREHEND SIX SUSPECTS FOR CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY IN GOMBE

Six individuals have been apprehended by the Gombe State Police Command in connection with allegations of criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and attempted kidnapping.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, the suspects include Muhammad Musa Korau (28), Aisha Jibir (28), Musa Haruna (35), Musa Muhammad Ajiya (24), Saleh Wammi (42), and Abubakar Isah (45). All suspects hail from Layi Village in Dukku Local Government Area and were arrested following a formal complaint by Muhammad Ibrahim, a 29-year-old resident of Bagadazan Fulani Village.

The officer revealed that the victim reported an incident on January 4, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m., when a group of about 10 unidentified individuals, armed and riding three motorcycles, stormed his house, threatening his life.

According to the PPRO, “The suspects allegedly stole Ibrahim’s motorcycle, valued at N1,020,000, and N2,740,000 in cash. A keypad Techno handset was recovered as an exhibit.”

Abdullahi stated that the arrests were made based on intelligence gathering and assured that the suspects would be charged in court once the investigation is concluded.

He mentioned that the police are actively investigating the case and working to recover the stolen motorcycle and cash. He emphasized that the arrest of the six suspects represents a significant breakthrough, while urging members of the public with any additional information about the crime to come forward.

The PPRO reaffirmed the police’s commitment to ensuring justice is served and pledged to do everything possible to hold the perpetrators accountable.

Additionally, the Gombe State Police Command warned that it would not tolerate any form of criminal activity in the state. It assured citizens of its dedication to protecting lives and property, encouraging the public to cooperate with the police and report any suspicious activities.
