NIDCOM BOSS CELEBRATES AKINWUNMI AS HE MARKS YET ANOTHER BIRTHDAY
Hon. Abike Dabiru-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has extended her congratulations to Adesina Akinwunmi on the occasion of his birthday.
In a message of congratulations issued by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Head of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Dabiri-Erewa described Akinwunmi Adesina as a visionary leader, a respected role model, an accomplished economist, and a remarkable leader.
She prayed that God continues to guide and direct him as he leads the affairs of Africa on the global stage.
Akinwunmi Adesina, a Nigerian economist, currently serves as the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB). Prior to this, he was Nigeria’s Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Before his ministerial appointment in 2010, he was Vice President of Policy and Partnerships at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). In 2015, he became the 6th President of the African Development Bank and was re-elected for a second term in 2020.
He is the first Nigerian to hold this prestigious position.
