
DEATH TOLL FROM KANO TRAILER ACCIDENT CLIMBS TO 23
The number of fatalities from the tragic trailer accident at the Muhammadu Buhari Interchange Flyover in Hotoro, Kano, has increased to 23.
The Public Relations Officer of the Kano Sector Command, Abdullahi Labaran, confirmed the updated figures in a statement on Friday.
He disclosed that while the initial death toll was reported as 16, it has now risen to 23, while the number of injured victims which was earlier reported to be 52 now stands at 48.
The injured victims are currently receiving treatment at Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital, Kano.
Labaran also stated that the obstruction caused by the accident has been cleared, restoring the free flow of traffic in the area.
