Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo has given his approval for 1,010 teachers to be hired for the state’s secondary schools.

Following the conclusion of the hiring procedure by the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), which vetted hundreds of applications the previous year, the governor gave his permission.

Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor’s chief press secretary, said in a statement that the list of selected applicants will be made available online on Monday.

According to him, starting on Tuesday, it will also be on display at the TESCOM headquarters and zonal offices located throughout the state.

Only successful candidates are expected to start their documentation right away, according to Adeniyan.

Due to the shortage of teachers in the state public schools, Governor Aiyedetiwa last year approved the recruitment of 1,000 secondary school and 1,000 primary school teachers.

“While the final list for the secondary school candidates was approved by the governor on Friday, that of the primary school candidates is currently undergoing its finishing touches,” Adeniyan added.
