Mojisola Meranda has resigned as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly to become Deputy.
Meranda, who just resigned on Monday afternoon as Speaker of the House, accepted the role of the deputy speaker pledging to serve the state in good faith.
“This is a notice of resignation as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly,” Meranda earlier read her resignation letter out at the plenary Monday afternoon.

The House is expected to decide on the next Speaker and Mudashiru Obasa has been nominated.
