KANO ASSEMBLY APPROVES LAW TO CREATE INFRASTRUCTURE MONITORING AGENCY
The Kano State House of Assembly passed legislation creating an organization to manage the state’s significant structures and infrastructure.
After the assembly approved the law’s third reading during today’s session, it was enacted.
Lawan Hussaini Dala, the Majority Leader of the House, discussed the new law in more depth, saying that once it is in place, the agency will keep an eye on how telecom companies set up their antennas and dig trenches on the state’s highways to put their lines.
The agency will also take disciplinary action against people or businesses that excavate roadways in the state in order to install water pipes for homes or businesses.
