“DAVIDO HAS MADE ME LOVE PIDGIN ENGLISH” – KING CHARLES III REVEALS
King Charles III of Britain has shown his appreciation for Nigerian musician Davido, saying that his music inspired him to adopt Pidgin English.
When he returns to Nigeria, King Charles says he would really like to speak Pidgin.
This was revealed by the king in The King’s Music Room, a brand-new Apple Music program that debuted Monday.
He revealed his wide range of musical preferences throughout the performance, citing Davido’s song “Kante,” which features Fave, as one of his favorites.
“Davido has made me love Pidgin language. I would like to speak it the next time I visit Nigeria. Thanks to Afrobeats, it’s becoming more popular around the world,” Charles III stated.
Davido acknowledged the royal family by reposting the video on his Instagram story.
