
SANWO-OLU APPOINTS, DEPLOYS SEASONED PR PROFESSIONAL AS TOURISM’S NEW PERMANENT SECRETARY
Mr. Olanrewaju Bajulaiye has been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture. He was sworn in alongside seven other Permanent Secretaries by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Lagos House, Ikeja.
This appointment is part of the Lagos State Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen public service leadership and implement the THEMES Plus Agenda effectively.
With Lagos recognized as a hub for tourism, arts, and entertainment, Bajulaiye’s leadership is expected to bring renewed strategic direction to the Ministry, further solidifying the state’s position as a leading cultural and tourism destination.
His tenure is set to enhance collaboration between the government, private sector, and cultural stakeholders, fostering policies that attract investment, promote cultural tourism, and support indigenous creativity.
Bajulaiye brings extensive experience from various government ministries, departments, and agencies. Prior to this role, he served as the Director of Public Affairs at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
A seasoned public relations professional, he is a distinguished member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and a respected leader in the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
His appointment marks the beginning of a new phase for the Ministry, positioning Lagos at the forefront of tourism, arts, and culture in Nigeria and beyond.
