Getafe would have their goalkeeper Vicente Guaita to thank as he denied Barcelona from scoring on numerous occasions. Luis Suarez scored a goal in the 42nd minute when he volleyed the ball into the back of the net, but the goal was disallowed by the centre referee. Philippe Coutinho also had a glorious chance to score before the end of the first half, but he was also denied by Vicente Guaita.

Getafe defenders were superb in the second half as they clipped the wings of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez for them to leave the Nou Camp with a point as the match ended 0-0. Meanwhile, Barcelona are still topping the Spanish La Liga standings with 59 points after 23 games played this season.
