CRISIS IN ONDO COMMUNITY AS YOUTHS ALLEGEDLY ASSAULT MONARCH, WIFE AND SON

Tension broke out in Idogun community, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Friday after irate youths allegedly assaulted the town’s monarch, Oba Moses Bakare, alongside his wife and son during the annual New Yam festival.
The monarch reportedly sustained injuries, while his wife was beaten and stripped half-naked before security operatives intervened to prevent further escalation.
Although the exact cause of the attack remains unclear, residents said some youths in the community had long been at odds with the traditional ruler.
Ondo State Police Command spokesperson, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident, adding that investigations were underway to ensure justice.
