HOTJIST NEWS
Anxiety spread through Bayelsa State on Thursday after news broke that the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, had a sudden collapse in his office and was quickly taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Yenagoa.
The event, which happened around 1:30 p.m., caused worry right away among government workers and the general public.
Sources reported that Ewhrudjakpo suddenly collapsed while doing his job, which led his team and security to rush him for help. He was first taken to the hospital’s emergency room and then moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Even though there is no official word on why he fell ill, medical experts suggest it might have been a heart problem.
The FMC building got very busy as important government people, politicians, and religious leaders came in to show support and pray for his health.
So far, the Bayelsa State Government hasn’t released an official statement, and people are still waiting for news about the deputy governor’s condition.
