APC SECURES TWO SEATS IN RIVERS STATE ASSEMBLY BY-ELECTION

Candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have emerged victorious in both seats contested in the February 21 by-elections in Rivers State, which were marked by low voter turnout and delays in the arrival of electoral materials.
The by-elections took place in Ahoada-East Constituency II and Khana State Constituency II.
In Khana Local Government Area, APC candidate Henrietta Bulabari won the Khana Constituency II seat with 7,647 votes, defeating candidates from the African Alliance, New Nigerian Peoples Party, Young Peoples Party, and Zenith Labour Party. Bulabari pledged to actively involve all constituents in her work once she assumes office.

In Ahoada-East Constituency II, APC candidate Ukalikpe Napoleon was declared the winner. Returning Officer Prof. Rosemary Ogbo confirmed that the election was properly conducted and contested. Napoleon secured 3,980 votes, defeating other candidates in the race.
After voting at Ogbelle Town, Unit 1, Ward 9 in Ahoada East, Napoleon commended the voters for their participation and expressed satisfaction with the turnout and the smooth, orderly conduct of the election.
