TEAM MANAGER REVEALS SERIOUS INJURIES FOLLOWING ROVERS FC ACCIDENT

The team manager of Rovers FC of Calabar, Edem Oyom, has revealed that several players are suffering from internal bleeding following a serious motor accident on Monday morning while traveling to Lagos.
The accident occurred at Okada junction when their vehicle lost control and overturned.
One player, whose identity has not been disclosed, was critically injured, while others sustained deep cuts and various injuries. Oyom and other team officials were also hurt in the crash.

In an exclusive interview, he said, “I have to stay strong. The player who was in critical condition is now medically stabilized. Many others are responding to treatment, though there are still some concerns. Medical personnel attending to them in Okada town, Edo State, have confirmed internal bleeding in several players.
“For better care, we have transferred them this morning to Asaba, Delta State, where we believe they will receive more intensive medical attention.”
Oyom added that the team is working diligently to ensure all players are stabilized.
The Rovers FC squad had been en route to Lagos for their scheduled match against Sporting Lagos FC.
