ADELEKE URGES CHRISTIANS TO EMBRACE LOVE, UNITY, AND HOPE AT EASTER

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has described Easter as a powerful symbol of life’s victory over death and light overcoming darkness.
He urged Christians to reflect on the season’s core values of love, sacrifice, and hope.
In a goodwill message issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke congratulated Christians in Osun and across Nigeria, noting that Easter embodies selflessness and faith in a brighter future.
The governor highlighted the spiritual importance of the celebration, saying the sacrifice of Jesus Christ should inspire a renewed commitment to peaceful coexistence and service to humanity.

He assured the Christian community of his administration’s dedication to fairness, inclusivity, and the protection of religious freedom, emphasizing his goal of building a society where all citizens can thrive without fear or discrimination.
Adeleke also encouraged Christians to practice humility, forgiveness, and love, describing these virtues as essential for unity and progress in the state.
Addressing residents, he reaffirmed his government’s commitment to people-focused policies and improvements in key sectors, while warning against the misuse of religion for political purposes, which he said fosters division.
He concluded by urging citizens to embrace the message of hope and renewal that Easter represents, and to pray for Osun State, Nigeria, and leaders at all levels.
