A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency I, Stephen Ogundipe, has pledged the delivery of more infrastructure projects to benefit his constituents.
He gave the assurance on Monday while inspecting four ongoing road projects in the area, including Oluwasanmi, Baba Ode, Deji Adeoye, and Alhaji Sokoya streets. The projects are being executed by Lagfield Construction Company Limited under the Lagos State Government’s urban renewal initiative aimed at improving connectivity in the densely populated community.
Ogundipe expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work, commending President Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Lagos Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa for their support in facilitating the projects.
He said the inspection reinforced his confidence in the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure in Oshodi, urging residents to cooperate with contractors to ensure timely delivery.
Describing Oshodi as a key commercial hub in Lagos, he noted that the road projects would enhance mobility and improve living conditions for residents.
Ogundipe also addressed concerns about security, stating that the area remains largely peaceful and that incidents of violence are usually linked to outsiders, not residents. He stressed the need to protect Oshodi’s reputation as a law-abiding community.

He further disclosed plans to extend similar infrastructure development to Mafoluku, Shogunle, and Ewu as part of a broader constituency improvement agenda.
Meanwhile, the project engineer, Oketayo Olushoa, said although the roads were initially scheduled for completion within 15 months, efforts were underway to deliver them in less than nine months.
He explained that construction is progressing steadily across all four sites, with significant work already completed on drainage and road bases, particularly on Oluwasanmi Street.
Olushoa added that drainage work is ongoing on Deji Adeoye and Alhaji Sokoya streets, while Baba Ode Street will be handled in subsequent phases to avoid disruption.
He assured that all materials used comply with Lagos State Ministry of Works standards and expressed confidence that the project could be completed within four to five months if the current pace is sustained.
Once completed, the roads are expected to improve drainage systems, reduce flooding, and enhance accessibility across Oshodi.
