Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru scored twice to end his goal drought of six league games on Saturday as Galatasaray defeated ten-man Kayserispor 3-0 in a Turkish Super Lig game played at the Kadir Has stadium.

The 21-year-old Onyekuru last scored a league goal for Galatasaray in their 6-0 thumping of Alanyaspor on the 27th of August (four months ago).
 
The Nigerian international, Onyekuru struck the opener for Galatasaray in the 18th minute when he fired in a rebound shot after Soufiane Feghouli’s shot was parried to his path.
 
He bagged his brace in the 75th minute when he outpaced a Kayserispor defender before firing home from close range his third goal in 13 appearances this season for Turkish club Galatasaray, where he is on loan from English side Everton.
He was booked for his goal celebration shortly afterward.
 
Omer Bayram scored the third goal for Galatasaray in the 88th minute five minutes after Tiago Lopes was sent off for a second bookable offence.
 
The win was Galatasaray’s first in their last six games in all competitions. The game was Onyekuru’s 10th league appearance of the season and he has scored three goals.
 
Galatasaray are now second in the Turkish Super Lig table with 23 points from 12 games- four points adrift league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir.
 
They will face Konyaspor in their next league game after the international break on the 23rd of November.
 
The Everton loanee who has been called up to replace injured striker Odion Ighalo for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in South Africa next Saturday in Johannesburg and an international friendly against Uganda three days later is expected to arrive the Super Eagles camp in Asaba Sunday evening in preparation for the game.
 
Nigeria currently leads Group E with nine points from four matches, a point ahead of second-placed South Africa. Gernot Rohr’s men will seal qualification to next year’s tournament in Cameroon if they beat South Africa.
 
At the Konya Buyuksehir Belediyesi stadium, in Turkey, Nigerian striker Lanre Kehinde made his fifth substitute appearance for Ankaragucu who lost 2-0 away to Konyaspor on Saturday.
 
The 24-year-old Nigerian came on for Anton Putsila in the 78th minute of the encounter. He is yet to score this season.
