LAGOS POLICE COMMAND MOURNS DEATH OF DCP KHAN SALIHU

The Lagos State Police Command has announced the death of Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Khan Salihu, who until his passing served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration.

According to a statement issued by the Command on June 15, 2026, DCP Salihu passed away on Monday.

The Command described his death as a painful loss, noting that he was a highly dedicated, disciplined, and committed senior officer whose years of service reflected professionalism, loyalty, and integrity.

In the statement, the Command highlighted his distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force, stating that he demonstrated exceptional leadership, administrative competence, and unwavering commitment to duty.

It further noted that his experience and contributions played a significant role in strengthening the management and operational effectiveness of the Lagos State Police Command.

Reacting to the development, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Olaiwola Fatai, on behalf of officers and personnel of the Command, extended condolences to the deceased officer’s family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

The Command prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family and asked Almighty God to grant the late officer eternal rest.

DCP Khan Salihu was remembered for his humility, professionalism, dedication, and selfless service to the nation and the Nigeria Police Force.

The Command added that his legacy of commitment and service would continue to inspire officers and personnel across the Force.
