NO RESIDENT REGISTRATION, NO NOVEMBER PAY, KWARA WARNS EMPLOYEES

The Kwara State Government has advised employees of the public sector to register as soon as possible with the Kwara State Residents’ Registration Agency.
The state administration announced that employees will not be paid in November or get bonuses if they are unable to secure a legal resident registration number.
Dr. Hauwa Nuru, the Commissioner for Finance, made this announcement in a statement signed by Babatunde Abdulrasheed, the ministry’s press secretary, on Monday in Ilorin.
According to Nuru, registration opened in July.
She pointed out that KWSRRA is required by law to collect information on every state citizen and give each person a unique identity in order to enhance public safety, resource management, planning, and service delivery, among other areas.

“In line with the administration’s commitment to accountability and transparency in resource management, a directive has been issued mandating all state employees, including those across the 16 local government areas, to complete their registration.
“From November, any worker who has not registered will not receive salary payments or bonuses,” she said.
The KWSRRA registration, the commissioner continued, is a necessary first step in building an accurate and thorough database that would enable Kwara to better serve its citizens. Making sure all state employees are registered improves service delivery, fortifies our payroll system, and fosters process confidence.
“The integrity of our data affects all our financial and administrative systems. A complete database helps us make informed decisions, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure that every eligible worker is compensated fairly and accurately,” she added.
She encouraged all state employees who haven’t enrolled yet to go to the closest KWSRRA center and finish the enrollment process as soon as possible.
“By following this directive, the Kwara State Government is working to establish a more efficient and equitable system for both its workforce and residents,” she said.
