President Bola Tinubu on Thursday met with the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, Dr Musa Aliyu (SAN), at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Aliyu arrived at the Villa at about 5:40 p.m. for the meeting.
The engagement came a day after Tinubu directed the Federal Executive Council to conduct a comprehensive forensic investigation into the alleged fictitious Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council scandal.
The development followed earlier revelations by the ICPC that at least two other fake agencies were allegedly operating within government institutions.

The meeting also came two weeks after Aliyu submitted the commission’s interim report on the investigation to Tinubu at the Villa on August 6, 2026.
The President had on July 7 directed the ICPC to investigate the self-styled agency and its promoter, Adeniyi Adeyemi.
In its interim report, the commission found that Adeyemi was never appointed by the Federal Government and that the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council was not established by any law, executive order or valid government instrument.
The ICPC also said the appointment letter presented by Adeyemi was forged and did not originate from the Presidency.
The commission further disclosed that Adeyemi allegedly created two other fictitious agencies — the FCT Investment Promotion Agency and the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency and Public-Private Partnership — using forged documents to open bank accounts.
The ICPC recommended Adeyemi’s prosecution, administrative sanctions against public officials whose actions or negligence contributed to the scandal, and institutional reforms to strengthen internal controls across affected ministries, departments and agencies.
