Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has announced plans to honour 17-year-old Nafisa Abdullah, who secured first place in English Language at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom.

Buni also said his government would also recognise 15-year-old Rukayya Muhammad Fema, who emerged overall best

The Yobe State Government disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday by Imrah Muhammed via X.

Hotjist reports that Nafisa Abdullah distinguished herself in the United Kingdom, clinching the top spot in English language proficiency.

Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, had earlier urged President Bola Tinubu to honour Nafisa Abdullah in the same manner the Super Falcons and D’Tigress were celebrated following their recent victories in African women’s football and basketball, respectively.
