Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday astonished a puff-puff seller during a rally in Osogbo after purchasing all her snacks with ₦50,000 and offering her a job as a chef at the Government House.

The gesture took place during an appreciation solidarity rally, where Osun public servants turned out in large numbers to commend the governor for his support and welfare initiatives since assuming office.

In a viral video from the event, Adeleke, seated inside a bus, beckoned to the puff-puff vendor by the roadside and inquired about the cost of buying all her snacks.

To the delight of the cheering crowd, the governor handed her a bundle of ₦50,000. Jubilant onlookers immediately rushed to share the puff-puff already purchased.

Adeleke then invited the vendor into his vehicle, where one of his aides asked about her academic qualifications. She disclosed that she holds a Nigerian Certificate in Education.

The governor further inquired about her cooking skills and directed his team to collect her contact details, promising her employment as a chef at the Government House.

Confirming the development, Commissioner II at the Osun State Civil Service Commission, Olaniyan Taofeek, posted the video on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “The moment Gov. Adeleke turned the life of a puff-puff seller into a Government House chef.”

Also corroborating the incident, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Digital Media, Oni Gbenga Lawrence, shared on X: “Moment Governor Ademola Adeleke turned the life of a puff-puff seller to Government Chef… not only ₦50k but he invited her into his car and employed her as chef in the Government House.”
