The Jigawa State Government has addressed growing public concern regarding the case involving Walida Abdulhadi, a native of the state, assuring residents that it is actively working to resolve the matter.

In a statement issued on its behalf, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hamisu Mohammed Gumel, stated that the government has been fully aware of the situation since it first emerged and has taken proactive steps to monitor and manage it.

The statement acknowledged the emotional impact of the case on Walida’s family and the people of Jigawa, emphasizing that the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness.

It confirmed that the Jigawa State Ministry of Justice has been formally engaged to ensure all necessary legal and administrative procedures are followed, working closely with relevant authorities to protect the rights and interests of the affected citizen.

The statement also highlighted that Governor Umar Namadi has personally intervened in the case, coordinating with senior government officials and initiating consultations with the appropriate authorities to ensure the matter is handled fairly, transparently, and without delay.

Reassuring residents, the government affirmed its commitment to safeguarding the rights, dignity, and welfare of every state indigene, describing this as a top priority of the current administration.

While appreciating the concern, solidarity, and prayers expressed by the public, the government urged calm and called on citizens to allow due legal and official processes to take their course.
