REMA REVEALS HE SMOKES AND PRAYS AHEAD OF STAGE PERFORMANCES

Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, has shared insights into his pre-show routine.
In an interview with Dazed during Milan Fashion Week, where he walked the runway for Diesel, Rema revealed that his rituals include drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, and praying before performing on stage.
He also explained that he conducts a sound check with his team to ensure everything is properly set for the show.

“A little Tequila, a little cigarette, pray, tap in with the team and make sure everything is on cue,” he said when discussing his pre-performance habits.
Rema noted that performing live is more stressful than walking the runway, emphasizing that “performing has a lot to do with your breathwork and you have to keep the crowd going.”
On the music influencing him recently, he shared, “I have been listening to a lot of Sudanese cultural live music.”
He candidly admitted that smoking cigarettes remains his “biggest vice.”
