The Speaker of the House, Martin Amaewhule, explained last Friday that the delay in screening was due to only seven of the nominees having submitted their CVs and credentials for the process.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara had submitted nine names to the Assembly for screening and confirmation the previous Monday.
This development comes amid a cooling of political tensions in the state following a third intervention by President Bola Tinubu.
Earlier, the State Assembly had initiated a third impeachment process against the governor, which also included the Deputy Governor, Professor Ngozi Nma Odu. However, the House suspended the proceedings following the president’s intervention.
